Check Emory’s flower restrictions first

If your recipient is at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, confirm their unit before ordering. Emory’s patient resources state that patients in intensive care, transplant and oncology units cannot receive flowers.

For another unit, ask the hospital whether the patient is currently admitted, flowers are permitted and an outside florist may deliver to a designated receiving point. Then ask our team to check the address and date.

Emory’s same patient guidance says the hospital cannot receive package deliveries. Check any proposed add-on or other gift with the hospital before ordering; choosing something other than flowers does not establish that it can be received.

When a home gift is the better choice

If the unit cannot accept flowers or discharge is approaching, ask the recipient or family whether flowers at home would be welcome and which date works.
